About The Artist

Ann Vandervelde was born in Wisconsin and received a BS in painting from The University of Wisconsin in 1968. She received a Masters from Penn State University in Education in 1995 and has taught both English and art. She has had numerous exhibitions, both group and solo shows and was the recipient of a Whiteley Scholar Residency through the University of Washington in the San Juan Islands, WA in 2010. Her work will be shown in February 2013 in two juried shows in Seattle and Bremerton. Her collaborative project Deep Geography is on exhibit January 2013 at Gallery I|M|A. Her work is in collections throughout the United States and abroad. She is represented by The William and Joseph Gallery, Santa Fe, NM, Gallery I|M|A (www.galleryima.com), Chicago Art Source, Chicago, IL, and The Petley-Jones Gallery, Vancouver, BC. The artist lives and works in Seattle and Lopez Island, WA
