About The Artist

I've been making art for as long as I can remember. I've dabbled in gardening, karate, trombone, knitting, soccer, all sorts of activities, but I've always come back to art. It's how I process things and decompress. The repetitive process of carving out a block for a print or carefully layering watercolor washes can be very meditative. I get flashes of inspiration and I sometimes let these ideas bounce around in my head for a few years before I put them on paper. Lately I've been inspired by nature - how humans so often take it for granted and our tendencies to anthropomorphize animals while, at the same time, dehumanizing people. That and puns - I love a good pun.
